8/11/2023 0 Comments ManierdevourI’ve been taking some time to just take in everything that this city has to offer ( nature included, who am I?!?!) and finding + rebuilding myself.Īfter being in Toronto, which is one of the most locked down places in North America, it feels good to be able to have some normalcy back in my life ( Vancouver is still taking precautions with covid but the restrictions are a lot less strict). I won’t go into details yet, but just know that it’s beautiful here, very different from Toronto but beautiful none the less. Long story short, I hit a very low point, to which I decided to stop trying to control things that were out of my control and to start listening attentively to the Universe.įast forward to 2021 and I’ve ended up magically on the west coast of Canada – Vancouver, BC to be exact. My entire life, I have always found a way but with all of the restrictions and health concerns that covid brought, I really couldn’t think of a way to pivot. I’m a low key planner ( I know, odd for a Gemini) and I’m not one to play the victim role. It felt like my life was unraveling right in front of my eyes and there was nothing I could do about it. I was emotional, lost and not sure how to process everything. Like most of you, I had v big plans for 2020 ( like, life changing BIG) and then covid happened and everything fell apart. So, you know the saying ‘ when you make a plan, God laughs’ I feel like that’s been my life for the last year and a bit. I paired it with a long sleeve mesh top, my leather motorcycle jacket, some chunky boots ( I seriously live in these) and my favourite Prada Runway sunglasses.Īs always, see some of additional pics below! I drew some inspiration from the genre and decided to build a look with this black skirt that I recently got from Simons. The guys specifically are just so open with wearing what they want, make up (hello eyeliner), tattoos, clothes (skirts, mesh tops, etc.) and I love that kind of freedom of expression. Not so much the music per se but the fashion and the attitude that it embodies – hence the title of this post. It’s funny because I’m an R&B, Hip Hop kid to my core but there’s something about Punk Rock that I’ve been really gravitating towards as of late. Anyways, I am in LOVE with this look and I hope that you guys like it too! I’ve been in this IDGAF frequency (more than usual, lol) when it comes to my style and I find that it’s been helping me find inspiration in areas of art that I haven’t really before. This was a look that I shot a few weeks back and have been meaning to share it on here but… life kept happening, lol. Hi guys – I’m back on the blog today with a new style post.
